He (or She) Who Hesitates Is Lost? Not Necessarily!
Ever been shopping and put off buying something you’ve seen – only to return a week, a day or an hour later and find it gone? We’ve all been there, and ‘dash’ doesn’t begin to cover it. It’s even worse when the item was on sale. You spend the next however long lamenting the lost bargain, and then our 20/20 hindsight kicks in: "I should have asked them to put it aside". Shopping online doesn’t protect us from such distress, either. The ‘in stock’ counter taunts us as it drops from ‘1′ to ‘0′ when we refresh – and no amount of yelling at the screen will bring it back. Or so we’ve heard.
Luckily, you can get around this, should it ever happen to you. If you’re shopping for leather jackets online, and find that what you want is no longer available, you can email us, and hand over your vital measurements. We’ll not only check that there’s really, truly no more in stock, we’ll check what we do have to make sure there’s nothing else that will suit your measurements.
Leather Jackets: a Coat for all Seasons
It’s a fact – leather jackets are making a comeback! Some might say that the classic leather jacket never really went out of style, but face it, when you’ve seen a guy wearing a men’s leather jacket that is a little past its use-by date (think short, black, and diagonal zippers), it can look not-quite-trendy. In their many forms, leather jackets can be worn almost anywhere and with almost anything. Even the old aviator-style jacket can still look cool, when teamed with the right outfit and accessories.
Some great bargain buys can be picked up in clearance sales. Cheap leather jackets are now being sported by the younger generation due to their versatility and low cost. They can be worn with anything, and their affordability makes them attractive to the younger crowd. They can be seen to and from work (and even some schools), in town with pals or out with families.
Ethical & Natural Beauty Gifts
A phrase often used these days is ‘natural beauty’ and now, in more ways than one, beauty really is only skin deep. Since 2007, over 2,000 ethical skincare products and cosmetics have been launched each year making ethical beauty one of the biggest growth markets in the cosmetics industry. It’s testament to the fact that consumers are waking up to the dubious manufacturing processes of mass-produced cosmetics and are demanding a greener way to improve the appearance of their hair and skin.
Europe leads the way in ethical skincare
In 2007, the UK, along with France, accounted for 74 per cent of all ethical beauty product launches proving that as a country, we are trying to align our environmental outlook with our shopping habits. Choosing to buy products that are produced using natural sustainable materials, that do not harm animals in the testing process, and are manufactured in a way that reduces the negative impact on the environment, shows the market is gradually being driven by the ‘green factor’ and not by profit margins alone.
Where To Buy Organic Skin & Hair Care Products
The organic skin care and hair care products industry is booming. Once a niche market, it now has a high profile thanks to celebrity endorsement plus commercial success thanks to the general consumer becoming more aware of what they put on their skin and better informed of the ethics behind the manufacturing processes. So, buying organic is a win-win situation but why should you ‘go green’ with your skin care and where is the best place to find organic beauty products?
Why choose organic skin care products?
Firstly, who wouldn’t want to eliminate as many harmful toxins from their body as possible. Non-organic hair care products and skin care products are produced using chemicals which the body absorbs and consumes through the scalp, hair and skin. This can never be a good thing for your long-term health.
Gifts For All Occasions
I hate being stuck for gift ideas. Whether it’s for someone’s birthday or anniversary, I am always at a loss when trying to think of what to buy. A wedding is especially difficult; I stand in the home wares section and wander aimlessly, dodging staff and offers of assistance. I usually leave empty-handed and close to tears. I dread announcements of engagements or the birth of a baby, as it means more stress (I envy those who love shopping for gifts). That was, until I recently discovered I had a Welsh heritage – and so did a few of my friends. This made it slightly easier, especially for the people closest to me.
Leather Jackets for All Seasons
The leather jacket has grown in stature during the 20th century. Iconic styling, and famous images have made them into a must have style accessory.
However, buying a leather jacket is something that people still tend to think about at a particular time of year. The start of the Autumn/Winter season traditionally sees a surge in sales of leather jackets and coats as they are often thought of as being only suitable for wearing during the colder months despite the fact that many modern leather jackets are actually ideally suited to wearing on a summer evening out.
The more astute shopper though will plan ahead and buy their mens leather jacket or ladies leather jacket earlier in the year as during the summer months there are some great bargains to be had on various styles of jackets and coats.
Caring for a Leather Jacket
Looking after your leather jacket properly will help to extend its life and will ensure that it gives you many years of wear. If you look after your leather jacket correctly you can also help to prevent ripping and cracking which will keep your jacket looking like new and will stop it from letting in the elements. There are a few simple measures which can be taken to keep leather jackets and coats looking, feeling, and smelling wonderful.
Although most leather jackets are preconditioned, you should still apply a leather protector to keep the leather waterproof. Try to use products specifically designed for leather which do not contain waxes and oils. These additives can clog the leather and prevent it from breathing properly.
How To Choose The Right Leather jacket
If you’re after a new leather jacket then chances are you want something that will compliment your existing wardrobe, and something you can wear to almost any event. There are several styles of leather jackets, and here you’ll find some you might like to consider.
A blazer is a jacket much like you’d see children wearing to a private school – they are smart, well cut and can be worn over a light blouse or a heavier shirt. In nice soft leather, a blazer would be great teamed with a pair of jeans, or even a skirt.
If you’ve seen an old war movie, then the jackets the men are wearing in the airplanes are called bombers – after the kinds of planes the pilots flew. Bomber jackets are functional, with pockets and zippers for storage and style.
My Travels With Sigh Clothing
Two summers ago on the beach in Ibiza having a brilliant holiday with my toddler and new baby. White sands and deep blue skies with nothing but relaxing to do. Hold on!! I remember toddler, so not so relaxing. Thank you Sigh Clothing for my half-length coat. My post partum body was very relieved for some stylish cover on the beach as I ran to catch my small child. I even felt comfortable pulling them through the shallow water in their boat. The coat would dry in two minutes keep me from sunburn and smartly get me through lunch and was in essence indispensible.
The following summer we campervanned around Europe with my two toddlers. I discovered the Desdemona Dress, again as happy on the beach as in a restaurant, market or bar. I had two with me. The rest of the bag full of clothes I had brought became a weighty, unnecessary burden. This year I will take my two Desdemona dresses, Half-Length Coat, flip-flops and some heels when going on a beach holiday.
What Makes Great Travel Clothes?
When planning to go away for a weekend beach break, or for a round the world trip, as a prospective traveller one will be considering what essential travel clothes one needs to take and what it would be better to buy while away.
A traveller with ethical sensibilities will be aware that to spend money while away is normally of economic benefit to the area visited, however though something desirable often can be found after arrival, it can be surprisingly tricky to find something that is not on every street market from Camden Town to Bangkok.
While shopping in areas where the tourist trade dominates, the goods offered cater for this wide range of passing trade rather than for local tastes, which actually leads to uniformity of products being offered. And though inexpensive and immediately appealing, this produce is often unoriginal and mass produced to a low standard at a location far from where it is being sold.
